Cable management trays · OEM & wholesale
Cable management tray manufacturing under-desk cable trays — clamp-on or screw-mount, built to your spec
An under-desk cable management tray lifts power strips, chargers and cable slack off the floor and out of sight — a small item that standing desks and workstation fit-outs almost always need. PlinthForge makes cable management trays for office furniture and standing desk brands, office product suppliers, contract furnishers, retailers and e-commerce sellers: steel wire baskets, perforated and solid steel trays and no-drill clamp-on trays, powder-coated in your color, plus matching spines and clips.
- Wire basket, perforated steel and solid steel under-desk trays
- Screw-mount or no-drill clamp-on fixing
- Lengths and depths per SKU; single or paired trays for wide desks
- Powder-coated black, white, gray or custom; hardware kit included
Tray types
- Wire basket trays — open steel wire baskets screwed under the desk; light, ventilated and easy to route cables through.
- Perforated steel trays — sheet-steel trays with slots or holes for a tidier look and mounting points for power strips.
- Solid trays with covers — closed trays or hinged lids for a fully hidden install.
- Clamp-on trays — no-drill trays that clamp to the desk edge; popular for rented and shared desks.
- Accessories — vertical cable spines for sit-stand setups, adhesive clips, sleeves and power-strip holders, quoted as add-ons.
Size, fixing and load
Tray length, depth and height, wire or sheet gauge, mounting holes or clamp opening (for the desk thicknesses you sell into) and finish are fixed per SKU. Screws, clamps and instructions are packed as a kit. We publish no load rating: you specify what the tray must hold — typically a power strip and adapters — and the samples are verified to that. A tray is a passive holder; we make no electrical or fire-safety claims for it, and power strips placed in it are covered by their own listings.
Finish, branding and packaging
Powder coating in black, white, gray or custom RAL colors; logo by pad print or label; printed boxes or brown cartons with labels for contract orders. Trays are often bundled with desk frames, monitor stands or desk organizers.

No certifications, listings, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is made of and how it can be customized. We do not display certification or listing marks (such as BIFMA, FSC, ISO, UL / ETL, CE, FCC, RoHS or REACH), publish load ratings or weight capacities, test results, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. Frequently asked questions
Clamp-on or screw-mount — which should I offer?
Screw-mount trays are the most secure and lowest cost; clamp-on trays need no drilling and suit rented or shared desks. Clamp opening is set for the desk thicknesses you sell into.
Can you make trays to fit our desk frames?
Yes — length, depth and mounting holes can be matched to your desk tops and frames from a drawing.
Are cable trays safe to use with power strips?
A tray is a passive holder; we make no electrical or fire-safety claims for it. Use power strips that carry their own listing for your market, and follow their instructions.
What weight capacity do your stands and risers have?
We do not publish load ratings or weight-capacity figures on this site. Capacity depends on the exact design, material gauge, hinge or column, desk thickness and how the load sits on the product. You specify the load the SKU has to carry (for example the laptop, monitor or equipment it is sold for) and the test method your customer accepts; we build pre-production samples to that spec and you verify them — in-house or through third-party testing arranged on request. Any capacity printed on your packaging or listing must come from that verification and is the brand owner’s claim. See the load and stability section of our specs guide.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the tooling (an existing mold or extrusion vs. a new design), material and finish, colors, logo method, packaging and any buyer-specified testing; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, testing and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
