A desk mat is the big, flat surface under keyboard and mouse — a writing pad, mouse surface and desk protector in one — and it is mostly a material, size and edge decision. Desk mat materials
- PU leather — smooth or textured, single-color or double-sided (two colors), with a suede-like or rubberized backing; easy to wipe, popular for office and gift ranges.
- Felt — polyester or wool-blend felt for a soft, warm look; often in grays and earth tones, sometimes with a PU leather or cork combination.
- Cork — natural cork, alone or laminated to PU leather on the reverse.
- Fabric-top rubber — the extended mouse-pad construction: a printed textile top on natural or synthetic rubber, for full-color artwork and gaming ranges.
Surface coatings that resist spills are specified per SKU; we describe them as water-resistant only where samples confirm it, and never as waterproof.
Sizes, thickness and edges
Mats are cut to the sizes you sell — from long mouse-pad sizes to full-desk mats — with rounded or square corners. Thickness is set by material (thin PU leather and cork vs. thicker felt or rubber-backed mats) and fixed per SKU on samples. Edges are stitched (anti-fray, contrast or matching thread), heat-sealed or left as a clean cut, depending on material.
Printing and logos
- Full-color printing — dye-sublimation on fabric-top mats for edge-to-edge artwork.
- Debossing and hot stamping — on PU leather for a subtle or metallic logo.
- Silk-screen print — spot-color logos on PU leather, felt and cork.
- Laser engraving — on cork and some PU leathers.
- Woven or leather labels — sewn into the edge of felt mats.
Packaging and shipping
Mats ship rolled in printed tubes or sleeves, folded in flat boxes (felt), or flat in polybags with a header card; corporate gift programs use gift boxes. Barcodes and marketplace labels are applied per SKU. Many buyers pair a desk mat with a keyboard wrist rest in the same material, or a laptop stand.

Yes. Size, corner radius and edge finish are set per SKU; standard sizes start fastest.
Are your PU leather desk mats waterproof?
We do not call any mat waterproof. PU leather and coated surfaces are typically easy to wipe; water resistance is described only as confirmed on your samples.

We do not claim any certification, listing or test result on this site — no BIFMA, FSC, ISO, UL / ETL, CE, RoHS, REACH or similar marks. What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the tooling (an existing mold or extrusion vs. a new design), material and finish, colors, logo method, packaging and any buyer-specified testing; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, testing and season.
